BION, inc is rolling out a new field safety program called Skill Signal. Skill Signal will allow us to run all training, toolbox talks and reports from our phones and iPads. We have already begun using the Daily Reporting Feature, AHA’s and the Incident Reports. As the field begins training the Safety team is looking forward to using this day to day for observation as well as a communication tool with our General and Subcontractors.
The BION safety team and field leads has created an annual plan that has been uploaded to Skill Signal. BION is able to really review what needs to be completed under OSHA along with what the Field Leads are seeing and want addressed. Thus far we have completed, Hazardous Materials, Hearing Conservation, Machine Guarding, and First Aid/CPR/AED trainings for some field employees and all of our field employees have had “Safety Talks” on Controlling Bleeding, Emergency Evacuation Procedures, Limiting Distractions, Daily Housekeeping, Situational Awareness, Preventing Overexertion Injuries, Slip/Trip Hazards, Fall Prevention, Struck-By Injuries, and Managing Stress.
