Congratulations to our 24 newly certified Medical Gas technicians and 2 newly certified Medical Gas inspectors who just completed and successfully passed the Medical Gas Examination. This process consisted of 32 hours of class work over a weeklong period, followed by a brazing test and 100 question written exam. BION helps prepare employees by hosting regular internal brazing clinics that instruct proper form and safety. 100% of the technicians and inspectors passes the exam, which is an outstanding accomplishment and BION is very proud of each of them. Now, over 89% of our field staff holds this important license, required by NFPA 99 for all medical gas system installations. We want to thank Tyler Geiger, Rick Burke, and Tyler Paul for giving of their time after hours to hold instructional brazing classes.
The BION-sponsored training is compliant with ASSE 6010 Professional Qualification Standard for Medical Gas Systems Installers and ASME IX International Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, instructing our plumbers in the “Gold Standard” of operating procedures to ensure the highest level of patient safety, as well as their own safety as they install medical gas systems.
