Congratulations to our 12 newly-certified Medical Gas technicians, who just completed and successfully passed the Medical Gas Examination. This process consisted of 32 hours of class work over a week long period, followed by a brazing test and 100 question written exam. BION helps prepare employees by hosting regular internal brazing clinics that instruct proper form and safety. Now, over 55% of our field staff holds this important license, required by NFPA 99 for all medical gas system installations.
The BION-sponsored training is compliant with ASSE 6010 Professional Qualification Standard for Medical Gas Systems Installers and ASME IX International Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, instructing our plumbers in the “Gold Standard” of operating procedures to ensure the highest level of patient safety, as well as their own safety as they install medical gas systems.
