  • Our Safety Team is growing and we currently have an open position for a full time Safety/QC Director.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
    • Conduct safety orientations, safety meetings and trainings.
    • Manage and develop Safety and training programs, plans, loss prevention programs and initiatives.
    • Conduct daily site visits, perform on-site safety and QC assessments. Address any corrective actions to be taken to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies, safety policies, procedures and practices.
    • Conduct accident/incident investigations utilizing root cause analysis. Work with senior management to modify policies and procedures as needed.
    • Ensure compliance with all regulatory bodies and standards. Including but not limited to OSHA, EPA, etc..
    • Maintain a positive working relationship with the Owners, Project Managers, Superintendents, General Contractors, Clients employees and vendors at all times.
    • Supervises the quality control functions/activities of a project or its parts, including Quality Control inspection schedules and the collection of quality records.
    • Supports leadership in communicating with contractors and vendors for all safety/quality control matters.
    • Ensure that all testing is performed per contract requirements and maintain plans and logs for each.
    • Assist senior management developing project/site specific quality control plans.
    • Compile monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports for review by Senior Management.

    Requirements:

    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in safety and QC related field experience in heavy commercial construction. Experience in the mechanical industry and healthcare fields strongly preferred.
    • Excellent written/interpersonal/communication skills required (English). Spanish language a plus.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
    • The physical ability to maneuver on construction sites without limitations.
    • A valid driver’s license and good driving record – local travel is required.
    • Successful candidate must be self-disciplined, well-organized and able to meet tight reporting deadlines.
    • OSHA 500 certification.
